Ercole Lupinacci (born November 23, 1933 in San Giorgio Albanese) is a Italian of Arbëreshë ethnicity[1] and Bishop Emeritus of Italo-Albanian Catholic Eparchies of Piana degli Albanesi and Lungro.

Biography

Ercole Lupinacci was born in San Giorgio Albanese on November 23, 1933. He was ordained a Italo-Albanian Catholic priest on November 22, 1959.[2] He was apponted Bishop of Piana degli Abanesi on March 25, 1981[3] and ordained bishop on August 8, 1981 by Bishop John Stamati with principal co-consecrators, Archbishop Saba Youakim, B.S. and Archbishop Miroslav Stefan Marusyn.[2] In November 22, 1987, he was appointed Bishop of Lungro replacing the deceased Bishop Stamati.[4] He retired from the See of Lungro on August 10, 2010 at age 76.[2]
